Small screen sign-ups often feel clunky, anyone else notice this too?

It really gets under my skin when I try to sign up for something new on my phone and the process is just an absolute nightmare. Like, tiny fields, forms that don't auto-fill, and then error messages that pop up saying I missed something on a previous screen. Does anyone else feel like a lot of websites haven't quite figured out how to make their sign-up flows genuinely mobile-friendly yet? I often just give up and move on if it's too much hassle.

You're definitely not alone in that frustration! I think a lot of companies underestimate how quickly people will abandon a sign-up if it's not smooth on a small screen. I found this really insightful article that talks about what makes an Aviator sign-up flow feel easy on a small screen. It mentioned that desktop registration can hide many flaws because there's more space, but mobile doesn't forgive clutter. Things like keeping the design minimalist, showing only the next useful action, and avoiding too many choices are key. Also, having fewer required fields at the start and large, readable buttons makes a huge difference. The article makes a strong case for breaking the process into small, logical steps, which prevents users from feeling overwhelmed.
